Matt is both an attorney and a CPA, bringing legal judgment and financial fluency to every client engagement. He earned his law degree from the University of Connecticut School of Law and completed executive education at Harvard Business School. Before founding Emerytus Law, he served as a Senior Partner at EY, including as a global client service partner and practice leader, advising complex organizations where structure, risk, and accountability were central to decision making.

Matt founded Emerytus Law to help clients protect what they are building and preserve it for the people who matter most. His approach is shaped by a deep sense of responsibility: first-generation Italian roots on his father’s side, a family tradition of public service on his mother’s side, and the perspective that comes with being a father. He also holds a black belt in Hapkido and has trained for eighteen years. That discipline shows up in his work: prepared, steady, and focused on helping clients identify and address preventable risk before it becomes costly.
