A legal disclaimer
Last updated February 23, 2026
These Terms and Conditions govern your access to and use of the Emerytus Law website, including pages hosted on Wix, and any related forms, scheduling links, and communications that reference these Terms. By using this website, you agree to these Terms.
Informational purposes only
The content on this website is provided for general informational purposes. It is not legal advice, tax advice, or accounting advice for your specific situation. You should not act or refrain from acting based on information from this website without obtaining appropriate professional advice.
No attorney client relationship
Your use of this website, submitting information through Wix forms, requesting a consultation, or communicating with us does not create an attorney client relationship. An attorney client relationship exists only when you and Emerytus Law sign a written engagement agreement and any required retainer or advance fee deposit is received.
Do not send confidential information through this website
Do not submit confidential, privileged, or time sensitive information through this website or by email until you have signed an engagement agreement and you have been provided instructions for secure communication. Information sent before engagement may not be treated as confidential.
Jurisdiction and scope
Emerytus Law lawyers are admitted to practice in Connecticut. The website is intended for Connecticut residents and for matters with an appropriate Connecticut nexus. Emerytus Law may coordinate with licensed counsel in other jurisdictions when appropriate. Emerytus Law does not seek to represent anyone in a jurisdiction where the website does not comply with applicable rules.
Attorney advertising
This website may be considered attorney advertising. Prior results do not guarantee a similar outcome.
Consultation requests and conflicts
Requesting a consultation does not guarantee that we will accept your matter. We may decline matters due to conflicts of interest, capacity, jurisdictional issues, or other reasons. Do not assume we represent you unless and until an engagement agreement is signed.
Payments
If we accept payments online, we may do so through LawPay. Payment availability, refundability, and application of funds will be governed by your engagement agreement and applicable rules. LawPay’s own terms may also apply to your use of that payment service.
Intellectual property
Unless otherwise stated, the website content, including text, graphics, logos, and layout, is owned by Emerytus Law or licensed to us. You may view and print pages for personal, non commercial use. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, publish, modify, or create derivative works without prior written permission.
Acceptable use
You agree not to use this website in a way that could disable, overburden, damage, or impair the site or interfere with others’ use. You also agree not to attempt unauthorized access to any systems, introduce malware, or engage in abusive or unlawful activity.
Third party links and services
This website may link to third party sites or use third party services, including analytics and payment processing. Emerytus Law does not control and is not responsible for third party content, policies, or practices. Your use of those services is subject to their terms.
